About
Bourgeoisie
Est. 2023 — Canada
Bourgeoisie was created with a simple idea in mind. Build something personal, and let people find it on their own.
Founded in 2023 by a young Canadian while playing basketball in the United States, the brand began during a period of transition. Time spent between structure and uncertainty shaped the foundation of what Bourgeoisie would become. It was never about launching a brand in the traditional sense. It was about creating something that felt honest, something that reflected a way of thinking rather than a moment.
Early on, there was a clear disconnect. Many brands operated at extremes. Either highly priced with little justification beyond perception, or built for mass consumption with compromised quality and fit. Pieces lacked balance. They were either inaccessible, or forgettable.
The response was not to critique it, but to build an alternative.
"Not as status, but as standard. Not as excess, but as discipline."
From the beginning, the intention was inward. To design pieces for himself first. To focus on what felt right in fit, weight, and presence, without chasing validation or attention. The belief was simple. If the product carried meaning, it would resonate. If it did not, nothing else would matter.
The name Bourgeoisie reflects that tension. A reference to value, perception, and class, but redefined. Not as status, but as standard. Not as excess, but as discipline. It represents a shift away from both inflated luxury and disposable clothing, toward something considered and enduring.
There was no push to be seen. No reliance on identity or personality. The creator chose to remain anonymous by design, separating the work from the individual behind it. Bourgeoisie exists without a face, allowing the garments to stand on their own, free from narrative or expectation.
Each piece is developed with precision and restraint. Materials are selected with purpose. Silhouettes are refined until they feel effortless. The goal is not excess, but clarity. Clothing that holds its own quietly, and reveals more over time.
Bourgeoisie is not driven by trends or defined by categories. It is a system of garments shaped by discipline, intention, and consistency. Designed to be worn without thought, yet understood by those who recognize it.
It began as something personal. It remains that way.
